NYC Mayoral Candidates Urged to Sign ‘Green Building Roadmap’


A coalition that includes environmental advocates, the real estate and construction industries and labor unions are urging New York City’s mayoral candidates to sign a “Green Building Roadmap.”

The roadmap includes dozens of recommendation for making residences, commercial buildings and schools more energy efficient.

Recommendations range from sustainable building operations and stepped up recycling to streamlined regulations and appointment of a Deputy Mayor for Infrastructure & Sustainability.
