Rockefeller Foundation To Aid 100 ‘Resilient Cities’; Registration Closes Sept. 23

Attention: municipal governments.

The 100 Resilient Cities Centennial Challenge, sponsored by the Rockefeller Foundation, needs you. Cities are encouraged to apply for technical support and resources to aid with development of “urban resilience” strategies.

Registration is required by Sept. 23, 2013, to receive the application.

While “strong preference” will be given to municipal governments,  institutions affiliated with cities (such as nonprofits, universities, research centers and chambers of commerce) also can apply. The initiative is designed to to help cities “address the increasing shocks and stresses of the 21st century,” according to the Foundation.
